The 28-year-old has been his own representative during the early stages of his new contract talks with Manchester City in the absence of Patrick De Koster, his former agent.When asked about his long-term future at the Etihad Stadium, Kevin De Bruyne revealed that his contract situation is not a difficult one as it is his desire to continue to play his football in the colours of Manchester City. Manchester City star Kevin de Bruyne is set to extend his contract with the club in a few weeks, per reports. The Belgian could have had the deal over the line if not for the unfortunate arrest of his agent Patrick De Koster.
De Koster was allegedly arrested on fraud charges late August after the player asked his financial accounts to be looked into. De Koster, who runs the management company J&S International Football Management, allegedly tampered with client funds’ running into millions of pounds. He is in custody now and awaiting further action. The agent has been with the player for over a decade, starting from whilst he was at Genk in Belgium. He is allegedly skimming of the player’s money hence the investigation into him.
