DE BRUYNE NEGOTIATING CITY CONTRACT HIMSELF

 

Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne has shown his readiness to continue his career at the Etihad Stadium after the Belgian international opened new contract talks with the Citizens himself.The ex-Chelsea star revealed that he has started new contract talkswith Manchester City in an interview with local newspaper in Belgium, Het LaatsteNieuws.


The 28-year-old has been his own representative during the early stages of his new contract talks with Manchester City in the absence of Patrick De Koster, his former agent.When asked about his long-term future at the Etihad Stadium, Kevin De Bruyne revealed that his contract situation is not a difficult one as it is his desire to continue to play his football in the colours of Manchester City. DE BRUYNE TO EXTEND CONTRACT

 

Manchester City star Kevin de Bruyne is set to extend his contract with the club in a few weeks, per reports. The Belgian could have had the deal over the line if not for the unfortunate arrest of his agent Patrick De Koster.


De Koster was allegedly arrested on fraud charges late August after the player asked his financial accounts to be looked into. De Koster, who runs the management company J&S International Football Management, allegedly tampered with client funds’ running into millions of pounds. He is in custody now and awaiting further action. The agent has been with the player for over a decade, starting from whilst he was at Genk in Belgium. He is allegedly skimming of the player’s money hence the investigation into him.

With Manchester City having to wait until mid-next month to get the CAS ruling on the UEFA ban, they are well aware of the implications. If CAS upholds the two-year ban, City’s momentum would be ruined, and the club pillaged. Prime of which would be Belgian Kevin de Bruyne.


De Bruyne has many admirers due to the range of his skills. He is arguably the best midfielder in all of Europe. His passing range, vision, assists make him world class. BARCELONA DIVIDED OVER WAGE CUT, COULD LOSE MESSI

With Spain in a ‘state of alarm’ due to the novel Corona Virus crisis, Barcelona is proposing a wage cut. The club wants to retrospectively cut salaries by 70 percent from March 19, but the players want only a 30 percent cut. As at now there is yet to be an agreement, per reports in Spain.

With Lionel Messi earning over 500,000 pounds per week and his deal ending next summer, there are claims that the Argentine would consider a move to other clubs. Barcelona have made questionable deals in recent transfer windows that have put them in a bad position. With the move for Neymar from PSG, the situation would be even dire.
