According to the Blues cult hero, Kevin De Bruyne used to be moody and stroppy during his spell under Jose Mourinho at Chelsea. De Bruyne had been labeled as £50 million flop after he returned with Manchester City to the Premier League in 2015, following his unsuccessful Chelsea spell. Now, John Obi-Mikel has lifted the lid on what has gone wrong for the Belgian.


Mikel declared that Kevin had always been a stroppy fellow and was always on his own. According to him, he was always grumpy and moody and it was difficult to get anything out of him. However, now whenever he watches him play, it is a joy to watch. He wrote about his tenure at Chelsea, De Bruyne said that he was a little naïve about the way you have to manage yourself as a footballer in the Premier League. KARIM BENZEMA WINS UEFA MEN’S PLAYER OF THE YEAR AHEAD OF KEVIN DE BRUYNE

Karim Benzema has been named Uefa’s men’s player of the year after helping to fire Real Madrid to Champions League glory last season, finishing ahead of Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne and teammate Thibaut Courtois. Benzema scored 15 goals as Madrid won their 14th Champions League title last season, including crucial strikes in their run to the Paris final against Chelsea and Manchester City.

The Spanish champions defeated Liverpool in the Paris final, with goalkeeper Courtois producing a man-of-the-match display and making key saves to deny Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane. His Belgium teammate De Bruyne finished in the top three for the third season in a row after being named the Premier League’s player of the season and leading City to the defence of their title. KDB RESTED FOR POLAND GAME

Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne (KDB) was a major absentee forBelgium during the 1-0 win over hosts Poland in Group A4 of the ongoing UEFA Nations League campaign. Ahead of the game atStadionNarodowy in the Polish capital city of Warsaw, Kevin De Bruyne was rested after a long and hard season in the colours of club and country. The Manchester City midfielder has been vocal about playing UEFA Nations League games on the back of a demanding season. After playing 50 games for Manchester City in all competitions, Kevin De Bruyne was involved in all the three Nations League games played by the Red Devils this month before the Poland game on Tuesday.


Kevin De Bruyne could not stop Belgium from being thrashed 4-1 by the Netherlands at home in the first of the Group A4 games for the Red Devils. Barcelona star Memphis Depay scored a brace for the Dutch team, while Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries andTottenham Hotspur attacker Steven Bergwijn also scored for the Dutch team. KDB FIRES CITY CLOSER TO TITLE

Kevin De Bruyne(KDB) showed why he’s the main man for Manchester City once again after he scored four goals to fire his team closer to a second successive Premier League titleduring the 5-1 win at Wolverhampton Wanderers.


Manchester City went into the Wolves game away from home with the knowledge that a win will take them three points clear of Liverpool in second place with two games left to play in the Premier League this season. DE BRUYNE BENCHED FOR CUP SEMIS

Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne was on the bench for the whole of the FA Cup semifinal clash with Liverpool at the iconic Wembley Stadium. Kevin De Bruyne watched from the bench as Manchester City were knocked out of the FA Cup final thanks to the 3-2 loss to the Reds.

English champions Manchester City came into the game with the opportunity to match the feat achieved by city rivals Manchester United during the 1998/99 season by winning the treble namely the Premier League title, the Champions League title and the FA Cup title.
