Celtic Keen On Franco Di Santo

Scottish Premiership champs Celtic are keen on landing Franco Di Santo from German Bundesliga side Schalke. He is their shock January transfer target despite the price tag such interest would come with.

Only last summer, the huge interest PSG had in Brazilian sensation Neymar Jr made they pay a world record fee to lure him from Barcelona. They triggered his released clause and spent way more in wages to lure the star who led their demolition in the Champions League the previous season. Kolo Toure praises Arsene Wenger

Former Arsenal defender KoloToure believes that Arsene Wenger is still the right man for the job.

The French manager has been under pressure for a few seasons now for his failure to bring the title at the Emirates again. And now a poor start to the season where Arsenal has only managed to win two games out of four has again put him under intense pressure.

However, KoloToure believes that the club should give the manager enough time to turn things around. He believes that the manager is experienced enough to make changes in the team in order to turn them into title challengers again.

KoloToure has played for Arsenal during 2002 to 2009 and was part of the famous Invincible team that went a whole season unbeaten.

KoloToure said that Arsene Wenger is a fantastic manager and that he is someone that can detect talent in a young player. He said that you just need to consider the number of players that have developed under Wenger to find out how good he is at this job. Continue reading “Kolo Toure praises Arsene Wenger”

SEVERAL PLAYERS WITHOUT DEALS IN SCOTTISH PREMIERSHIP

Several decent players are scampering to get employed ahead of the 2017/18 Scottish Premiership season.

The free agents are not having it easy getting new deals despite their experience and offerings to Premiership sides.

Craig Sibbald

The under-23 star needs a deal but since he is a product of Falkirk’s youth system, he would cost around £250,000 to land the player. His purported move to Luton Town failed so the centre midfielder is still searching for employers. He scored his most in a season last year when he netted 10 goals. He is a decent player but the price might be deterring clubs. His salary would be within range as he is no Kolo Toure but the price is the thing.

Clint Hill

The player would need a pay cut to remain in the league in the new season. For him to have moved to Rangers, his earnings would have been decent. Instead of playing mediocre football in a small English club he could play at the top level in Scotland. He is valuable as a veteran but his stay depends on many factors. AndrazStruna is another one that might need a pay cut to remain in the league. Continue reading “SEVERAL PLAYERS WITHOUT DEALS IN SCOTTISH PREMIERSHIP”

TOURE DONATES MONEY TO MANCHESTER BOMBING VICTIMS

Manchester City star Yaya Toure has donated £100,000 to help the Manchester Arena victims. The Ivorian reportedly made the donation with his agent Dimitri Seluk.

“We want to help the victims – the families of the dead or those who are now in the hospital. I spoke to Yaya on Tuesday and he was very shocked by the terrible news,” Seluk said.

Eighty five people felt the direct effect of the attack when a suicide bomber blew himself at the Arena. Twenty Two died and the rest are injured, come in very critical conditions. Continue reading “TOURE DONATES MONEY TO MANCHESTER BOMBING VICTIMS”

KoloToure might have a new role in Celtic FC

KoloToure originally joined the Scottish outfit Celtic on July of 2016 as the Ivorian player penned a 1 year long deal but his impact has not been felt in the actual playing ground and instead, Toure has been working behind the scenes in a new job.

The 36 year old centre-back KoloToure has barely even had any time in the actual pitch as a player and one of the reasons of why this has been occurring is due to the fact that Toure’s has played a role as a coach rather than an actual player.

A few months ago it was rumored that KoloToure was about to be offered a new role in Celtic as a player-coach and be part of an actual staff member of Brendan Rodgers for the upcoming season. Continue reading “KoloToure might have a new role in Celtic FC”

Berlin Matches not Suspended

There has been no change in the scheduling of the next top tier Football match that has to take place in Berlin in spite of the city becoming the subject of a terror incident just hours ago.

The match is to be played between the local club Hertha and Darmstadt 98 and it will go on as scheduled earlier.

However, before the starting whistle, both the teams will keep 60 seconds of mum on the pitch to pay tribute to those who were victimised by the attack.

The Hertha boss Pal Dardai admits that there has been deep sadness and grief in and around the group, but, he reckons when the play gets underway on Wednesday, everyone will have to show the toughness of their character and will have to get through it together.

As per Dardai, Berlin people always have had a lot of unity among them and he is sure that the city will be able to recover from the tragedy. Continue reading “Berlin Matches not Suspended”
